The original planning of this late 19th century cottage was complemented by extensive rebuilding of living/kitchen and entertaining areas. The rear of the home was opened up towards the garden and park beyond to provide external terraces, gathering the landscape in its fold. Clarity of external expression is maintained by treating the new work in a lightweight timber frame and cladding.
