The Distillery Hill Stage1 forms part of a new and distinct part of the Jacksons Landing Development. This residential building uses strong, defined vertical forms to establish itself as a dynamic element on the Sydney skyline. A metal grid frame for the balcony zone accommodates sliding louvre 'plates', which form a random pattern within the façade grid. The inset louvred sunscreens passively manage sunlight and heat and minimise air-conditioning loads whilst allowing maximum outlook - harbour views are provided to all units. The 'floating' metal roof has been sculpted as a dramatic folding form, highly visible from traffic moving across the Anzac Bridge.
